From her vantage point, high above the city, Olivia watched the evening traffic crawl along the highway. The city lights twinkled like a scattered galaxy, painting the sky in a vibrant tapestry. She sat on the balcony of their new apartment, her feet propped up on the railing, a glass of chilled white wine resting in her hand. The air was crisp, carrying with it the distant sounds of laughter and music. Her husband, Daniel, was working late, as he often did.

She found it by accident, on his hidden Dropbox. A document, a file called "Stella's Ascent." She knew that name. A feeling of profound curiosity, not fear, overwhelmed her.
